Year End Goodbye!

Hi Room 15!

As the Grade 2 year comes to a close, please know that I loved getting to know each of you. I loved all of the risks you took to learn something new. I love that you stepped outside of your comfort zone to try a new strategy, grow in your social skills or share your ideas in a discussion. Each of you were brave in wonderfully, unique ways. You have all touched my heart. I will take a part of you with me as I too, go on to a new adventure. I am confident that you will all be Superheroes next year in Grade 3. Until I see you....

Dance! Dance! Dance! Smile! Breathe!

And know I am wishing you all the best!

Some songs to get you dancing and reflecting in our year together:

Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off"

  • What is a memory you want to "shake off" at the end of the school year?

  • What is something from this school year that you are not going to let get to you or bring you down?

Katy Perry's "Firework"

  • What is your "firework" moment from the school year?  What accomplishment(s) will you celebrate?

  • What have you learned about yourself this year?

  • What new strengths did you gain or discover about yourself this school year?

Sara Bareilles "Brave"

  • What did you do that was "brave" this year?

  • How did you step out of your comfort zone, or how can you step out of your comfort zone next year?

Love,
Mrs. Pedersen
